Grand Prix Weekend in Montreal: Liquor Sampling with Girls of Glam

If you were at the Grand Prix weekend in Montreal, you probably saw Girls of Glam giving out samples of Bailey's, Jose  Cuervo, and Johnny Walker! We had so much fun being able to represent these great liquor brands to so many people, and our girls looked great in their racing attire!

Girls of Glam often get the opportunity to sample for many liquor brands. And since this was such a big event, we wanted to share this experience with you, and show you want it's like!

I spoke with one of our Girls Vivian G. about her experience. Her initial role was to introduce a simple Bailey's recipe to everyone, and she explained what her experience with this role was like:

"The first and most important role/job I had was to offer the summer
drink of Bailey's to the public. It was a large event and the most
effective way to reach more people meant handing out one sample only
to each person. Our second role/job was to communicate that Baileys
original is Delicious, to remind the attendees that Baileys is a great
summer drink, that it can be blended with ice to share with friends,
to let attendees know all the great flavours: Original, Caramel,
Hazelnut and the upcoming Biscotti. My job was also to point out the
QR code that could be scanned for more recipes. I also referred the
attendees sampling to the Baileys Facebook page. Aside from
communicating these elements, the consistency had to be checked. My
job meant to do all of these things and answer any questions about the
ingredients, the history of the product if need be and to refer the
people to ID person and stamper."

Andrea C. who also worked at the event as a rep for Bailey's, Johnny Walker, and Jose Cuervo said she loved the experience and the people she interacted with:

"I think everyday was awsome, the crowd was full of energy every time I worked with during each event was fun and dynamic. I most say that working for Johnny Walker at the press release was really interesting, total different consumers and seeing an actual racer was fun!"

With all the hard work our Girls do at these events, you're probably wondering how they make it through the day! Aside from the fact that they're roles are super fun, it can be exhausting. And luckily, these Girls have specific tactics to ensure they keep professorial, and continue to represent the brand:

"My attitude was friendly, and open. It was appealing to the
public to see a real face smiling, ready to answer any questions about
the Brand. The attendees liked being served with a smile. Secondly, my
team members and I worked well together and it was felt by the
attendees. We had fun and so did the people we talked to. Thirdly,
being Colombian Canadian is a good representation of a modern
multicultural image. Attendees got to see how Bailey's is a
multicultural company giving even opportunity to all kinds of Canadian
residents. Finally, my appearance was good. My appearance always
professional worked well with my stylish glasses to make for a good
image for Bailey's." - Vivian

"Always keeping a smile and good energy,  and respond to every question the clients and consumer had." - Andrea

"I kept a positive attitude. Even at the busy points I tried to work as much as possible to avoid customer disappointment." Tea MM.

Our Girls did a great job at the event, and we are so happy they had so much fun, and took extra pride in representing these brands. Liquor sampling is a strong part of Girls of Glam, and we love that our Girls enjoy participating in these events and being strong brand ambassadors:

"I definitely enjoyed working at this event. It was a high paced
environment that was handled well by all involved. We managed to get
the information out there about the new flavours which everyone seemed
to enjoy. It was an amazing experience which I will remember always." Vivian

"Working Grand Prix was definitely engaging and exciting." - Tea MM.

Girls of Glam at the 2012 Stylus Awards

The Stylus Awards are an opportunity to honor Canadian club culture, and also up and coming DJ’s and artists. Since Girls of Glam play a strong presence in the Canadian music and nightclub industry, we were thrilled to have the privilege of working at the show on May 28th at the Danforth Music Hall in Toronto.
Some of our girls played a huge role in the show by having the opportunity to escort the award winners onto the stage to receive their awards.

Clara R. was particularly excited about this opportunity:
Working at the 2012 Stylus Awards was so exciting! We had the roles of the "Vanna Whites" for the award show, bringing each winner the award on stage. Being backstage was an amazing experience especially when rubbing elbows with many Canadian music stars. We were able to see all the performances from the stage-wings which was really cool! Everyone we met on and off stage was so nice and just as excited to be a part of the event. At first it was a bit nerve-racking to think we would have to be up on stage for most of the show, but once we walked up there a few times it was super fun and truly a memorable experience.”

Girls of Glam model, Katherine L. was also able to be a part of the show:
It was an amazing experience and definitely something completely new. Being up there gave you a rush if excitement.”

Girls of Glam is always proud to support Canadian artists, which is why we were so enthralled to be able to participate in the show. Our girls looked amazing and so professional on stage.

Katherine and Clara were so honored to be a part of this opportunity:
“I'm so glad & thankful that Girls of Glam was part of it and so thankful as well for working with a company that can present opportunities like this to me.”  - Katherine

I think it is really great that Girls of Glam was a part of the Stylus Awards because Canadian music is such a vital part in our culture and to be at an event that recognizes and supports Canadian music talent is truly amazing. I love being part of a company that is [involved] of such a variety of events. This was a very unique experience and I am so honored that I got to be a part of an award show that is plays such a huge role in Canadian music. This event was really awesome and I am happy to say neither of us tripped on stage!” - Clara
