Girls of Glam Represent Harley Davidson at NXNE 2013

Last weekend Girls of Glam worked for Harley Davidson at NXNE 2013 (Music, film, comedy, art, and interactive). Our model Lindsay B. manned the Harley tent where she had 3 bikes for people to look at and take pictures with. She even assisted with a jump start where people could try out one of the bikes and go through the gears with a rep. This was a really exciting event for Girls of Glam.



We spoke to Lindsay B. after her job was completed so we could share her experience with all of you! We were also lucky enough to have her share some photos!



What was your role at this event?
My role was to interact with visitors, sign them up on an iPad to enter a contest, hand out swag, answer any general questions, and help them fill out a form to try the bike simulator.

What did you do to get people excited about Harley, and the product?
To get people enthused about what we were doping I would tell them how easy it is to enter. I would also ask if they own or would like to one day purchase a Harley  If so, they would often become more interested. I would also hand out swag as an incentive to sign up.

What do you think helped bring people to your booth?
The signs contributed to bringing people to our booth. They would see a picture of the contest prize and would want to enter. Also, the loud noises from the bikes attracted people to our booth to see what was going on. The big Harley Davidson tent also drew people to us. I noticed that when we didn't have it up on the second day, not as many people could find us or were coming to visit.



What was your favourite part about working this event? 
My favourte part about working this event was meeting the different types of people who all seemed to share the same common interest in Harley Davidson. I also enjoyed working with the other team members as they were fun, energetic, and enjoyable to be around.

What did you do to prepare for this event?
To prepare for this event, each day I would make sure the iPads were charged and make sure I got a good nights sleep. I would try to keep my energy level up throughout the day as well!

Strong Product Knowledge, and Tons of Enthusiasm | Girls of Glam at Importfest 2013

Female models and cars always go hand in hand. However we had a really great experience at the Vancouver 2013 Importfest which included both male and female brand ambassador's representing the FR-S and TC Scion! The GOG team was blown away by the positive impact with had on Scion for this show.



Our ambassador's were at the show to greet and engage with prospectives and get as many people as possible to test drive the cars and to sign up to win a Scion TC. The results were great. Our amazing staff were really excited at how busy the Scion booth was, had a really busy time working at the show. From a GOG's point of view - we were exceptionally pleased with the product knowledge our team prepared for, and how well they represented the brand!



Christina L. said "When people are brought into a friendly and outgoing atmosphere it put people more at ease and more inclined to focus on the products you're trying to promote, everyone working at our event was exactly that. Being approachable makes people actually want to learn about what you're doing and by doing so, many people were excited to test drive a Scion and especially to win a car! All the free hats and shirt helped as well!"

Which is why GOG stands behind the idea that outsourcing staff is such a great tactic - especially if it's Girls of Glam. Our staff does an impeccable job at engaging with people - which was exactly what Scion needed to get buzz around the show that they were there.



Arian F., who was our male rep ensured he was prepared well in advanced knowing he would be faced with car enthusiasts who were well versed on cars moreso them himself "Two days before the event, I already studied the training manual provided by the company and other information of the car that would be useful on the day. Moreover, I've also learnt the culture of the the brand and presented to people the matched personality as if the brand was a real person."




When we asked our staff how they felt about the outcome of this marketing initiative, we had nothing but positive feedback:

Adrian F.: "I thought it was a solid marketing strategy as the sports car lovers were given the chance to test out the cars which they have never been in - and all the gifts and souvenirs did hype them all up!"

Christina L. "I think it was highly effective! We ran out of all our freebies and filled out as many [forms from] people that we possibly could for test drives and constantly had a line up at our booth which was amazing."

Ashley Y. "I felt great about this event. Everyone was excited and interested to see the lines. Seeing the owners showing up and then going inside to talk to the pro racers about how the prepared their cars and the modifications made people really excited and interested. The team was also all well versed in the brand and all excited to talk about it."

What a successful show! We love to see our events run this smooth, and our staff so well prepared for an event! We ensure each staff member receives proper training so they feel they are a part of the brand they are representing and they know about the product they are marketing! We like to think of our roster as budding marketers! Way to go team!
