Girls of Glam LOVE New E-Boutique Doll

Girls of Glam love supporting local businesses - but more importantly local businesses run by entrepreneurial women like us! Doll is a new online boutique based out of the GTA that caters to countries all over the world! As proud supporters of this feminine e-boutique, we wanted to share some of our favorite things about Doll!

We are in love with the romantic girly vibe Doll has. Pretty lace, satin, and silk is featured on girly clothing and lingerie is all over their website. We especially love the lingerie!

Because we are an office of power-house women, we naturally gravitate to the structured blazers and sexy pants on the site. We love that Doll has a variety of clothing that is geared towards the young-professional female. In a commercial world where stores like Forever21 and H&M take over  - it's tough for a professional female to find her identity in fashion and wear something to make her feel confident and successful. Doll has given this demographic a chance and carries a selection of brands and clothing that looks sophisticated but doesn't dismiss girly and feminine.

Doll has a special place in our hearts at Girls of Glam because it epitomizes who we are as a brand. Successful, confident, yet playful. We think it's a look all young professional women can agree with!

Get a look that screams confidence and pick out your favourite pieces from Doll! Free shipping is offered in Canada

Go-Go Dancers and 4Korners at My Apartment

Looking for more ways to party with the Girls of Glam? You can find us at My Apartment in Mississauga on the first Friday of every month dancing like no one is watching to 4Korner's amazing mixes. This means you can see our coveted and experienced Go-Go Dancers more often!

Last weekend we had Whitney and Rizi on the pedestal. They both agreed the atmosphere of the club was very high-energy and PACKED. Rizi said the atmosphere was different than the clubs downtown Toronto - but in a good way. With a packed club and 4Korners spinning her favourite songs, Rizi got lots of attention had a really great time dancing.

Whitney said this was the biggest club she had ever danced at before. She thought it was so cool how enormous the crowd was - and was able to feed off their energy.

Both Rizi and Whitney really enjoyed dancing with one another and loved being able to represent 4Korners. Dressed in black booty shorts and a neon 4Korners tanks they got a lot of attention from the crowd. Our girls are obviously hard to miss, but 4Korners definitely brought the house down. Electronic, progressive house, rap and hip hop...4Korners delivers to everyone's taste so you can all dance the night away with our girls.

Make sure you join the Girls of Glam and 4Korners on the first Friday of every month and come dance with us!

Canadian Club - Sophisticated Enough for Girls of Glam

Canadian Club. A whiskey for the sophisticated, and good enough to stand up against the toughest competition. Girls of Glam represented this classy brand of whiskey at several places in Saskatchewan to show a specific demographic how great it really is - and to set a standardized image for the brand.

Dressed in sexy and professional business attire, our staff impressed us again by ensuring they were well versed on the brand and ready to show consumers how sophisticated this whiskey really is. The target demographic were males aged 19-30. Our girls had to work really hard to convince a group of young males - who were likely used to drinking beer on their campuses - that whiskey; and in particular Canadian Club is a great alternative.

Kayla used her style and approachable attitude to attract the demographic. Wearing business attire, clean make-up with smokey eyes and tousled hair pulled back - she was professional, but fun! She blended in perfectly with what the brand was trying to promote.

Christine L. thought it was a great promo mainly for the amount interaction and engagement she was able to pursue to sell the brand. Normally sampling promos permit her to stay in the booths and promote the product from there. With Canadian Club she could walk up to tables and allow them to sample the whiskey and then chat with them about it after to see how they feel about it, and what they think. This is a really great sales tactic for getting the consumer to feel a connection with the brand!

Kyesha was excited about this promo because she drinks Canadian Club so she already had a connection with the brand. She reported that a lot of people really enjoyed the new Dock 57 BlackBerry flavored whiskey! She also thought she was a really great asset to the promotion because of her knowledge of the brand. Not a lot of women drink whiskey, and she thought it was great to have a woman's perspective on the brand while she was conducting a sampling with a younger male demographic.

It's important that our staff research the brand as much as possible prior to a promotion. In this case, our staff were provided with a handbook that taught them just about everything about the brand  - which really put us at an advantage. Canadian Club was a really fun and unique promotion and we were thrilled to be a part of it!

Girls of Glam at the Grey Cup AGAIN!

The Girls of Glam were ready for the Grey Cup last weekend when we worked the game in Saskatchewan! Although we were rooting for both teams, we had some of girls geared up to get the Tiger's fans  pumped up!

Rocking out in black and yellow catsuits our girls were the reason there were so many loud and excited Tiger fans in the crowd! They acted as cheerleaders passing out swag, leading chants, and giving out high-fives to fans to keep the crowd amped for the game.

Girls of Glam staff Morv said the outfits were what really got the fans attentions. She said fans wanted to get their picture taken with all the Tiger Cat girls and the energy from the fans was unreal! Everyone was having a really great time - and aside from a few die-hard Riders fans the crowd was awesome!

Morv loved working at her pavilion because they had a lot of interactive games like Jenga and fooseball for the fans to play while they weren't watching the game. All the girls had a great time working this event and interacting with the high-energy crowd. The Grey Cup is already an exciting event; the fact that our girls made it even more exciting with their hot catsuits and friendly manners really made us proud. Girls of Glam worked the Grey Cup in Toronto last year which was extra exciting for us because it was the home town of our head office. But we couldn't have been more pleased with the warm welcome we received working in Saskatchewan and having our Girls in the Prairies show off their talented staffing skills!

We can't wait for next year's game!

Girls of Glam Go International at Pearson Airport!

Over the weekend two of our amazing promo models worked at Pearson International Airport to represent some amazing fragrance brands such as D&G, Hugo Boss, Gucci, and Lacoste! Since most girls are well-versed with perfume and fragrances, we figured our girls would have zero issues with this promo. But after -speaking with them about their experience - we learned that we have some very specialized staff in the cosmetic industry who took their role last weekend very seriously!

Anabel was a former associate in the industry - which is why she was really excited to take on this role. She explained that some hours can be slow. So she would spend extra time with the consumers explaining the brands and 'educating' them more on the product, even introducing them to a fragrance they may have never tried before. She made sure to connect with each person she spoke with so she could learn more about them.

To spark up a conversation and get the consumer interested she would offer them a free sample, which was really effective for her. Her favorite moment of the day was introducing the male and female fragrance called 'The One' to a married coupled who liked the idea of wearing the same fragrance. She thought that was really sweet.

Miranda enjoyed working this promo because she identified with the brand. She has been wearing Light Blue for years, which made it really easy to sell the brand! She had a great time working this event and being able to meet people from all over the world. It was a great experience for her!

Girls of Glam really love when we can match the most appropriate staff to the role our client is looking for. Anabel and Miranda had experience in this industry so we know they would be a great fit and really engage the targeted consumers!

Peter Jackson and Girls of Glam for Crab Cakes

Girls of Glam have worked with a handful of well-known artists for music videos and promotions which has been really great for us as an agency - but also great for the publicity of many of our top promo models who are trying to get their face known in the industry.

Recently we worked with Peter Jackson for a very cool freestyle music video called Crab Cakes. Peter Jackson will be releasing a new freestyle music video each week until the new year - and we were happy to have two of our own featured in the video....cooking up a storm ;)

Here it is:

Jack and Jones Toronto | Girls of Glam show off Their Masculine Side

We have a pretty healthy roster of male staff at Girls of Glam - and you know, maybe we don't give our handsome men enough credit. This week's blog is focusing on three dashing men who worked a very cool promo for the clothing brand Jack and Jones which recently opened a location at the Yorkdale Mall in Toronto!

Three of our male staff were asked to stage themselves at a Cinneplex movie theatre where they handed out free Jack and Jones socks to other curious men who passed by promoting the brand and of course it's new store opening in Toronto (now opened). Like our female models; they had to mingle with the crowds and get people engaged in what they were doing.

Each of our staff were wearing the clothing of a different profile identified by the brand...which we thought was very cool. This meant that different groups of males could identify with the styles our staff were wearing.

Assante loved working this promo because he was passionate about the brand. He spoke to interested consumers as though they were his friend to represent the relaxed and laid back feel of the brand. He also loved how generous the brand was - because they were all able to keep the clothing they wore for the promo!

Ryan C. said the three of them didn't blend in with the crowds - they stood out which was the purpose of this promotion.

We are so happy to be able to share experiences about our male roster and their time spent on promotions! If you are looking to book male staff for your next event contact us:

Girls of Glam Put Their Home-Skills to The Test at Home Depot

Home Depot may not be the most likely place you would find our staff...so you would think.

Girls of Glam took over several Home Depots in Ontario to promote their home installations! That meant our staff had to become knowledgeable about Home Depot, their services, and also become part of the team. When we spoke to the girls about their experiences at this promotion we had such great feedback from each of them, we had to share it with our fans!

Telling customers about home installations and offering swag and really great prizes was the main focus for the GOG staff while they were working as brand ambassadors. However, we learned that they each went beyond what they were asked to do by becoming a member of the team, and really enjoying their time at the store.

Carolyn S. said that she felt like a team member while working there - and that everyone was like a family and very friendly. She took the time to ask customers what kinds of projects they were currently working on what sorts of projects they would like to work on in the future. This was something that really stood out to us because she was connecting with the customer beyond the present.

A lot of the girls also mentioned they were getting a lot of questions about where items were in the store. Although they were not asked to do so, they learned the layout of the store so they could be more helpful, and appear as though they were a member of the staff at that particular location.

When prizes ran out, the staff kept up the excitement of winning something by collecting the remaining swag and creating bundles of prizes they could give away so they had more to offer. It was also important that they knew what they were talking about, because they were getting some really important questions. They each had to attend a training session - however when they were asked a question and were unsure of the answer, they had no problem asking a staff member to help so the customer got exactly what they were looking for.

Carolyn S. had a slight challenge - coffee was being offered to customers in the booth she was presenting at. She had a feeling customers would go straight for the coffee and skip her. Instead she teased customers by saying they had to listen to her talk about what she was doing for a free cup of coffee - and it worked!

This promotion was really great! We had a wonderful group of staff working as BA's for Home Depot - including Evangelica who used to work at Home Depot! They each had impeccable customer service skills and represented Home Depot and Girls of Glam perfectly.

The Project - Guatemala | Supporting One of Our Own

Girls of Glam have a roster full of really great promo models. One of our most active-working promo models, Bethany was chosen to be a special kind of reality show. Unlike Big Brother, The Amazing Race, The Real World, or The Real Housewives of some capitalist city; Bethany was chosen for a less-glamorous reality show. The Project - Guatemala was something Bethany was not aware of. She thought she would be living in higher standards when she signed up for this opportunity...but instead she was mislead into an eye-opening opportunity of a lifetime.

We did a one-on-one with Bethany - a well-known promo model for Girls of Glam in Toronto, Ontario, and asked her about her experience on the show (without giving too much away)

1. What was original concept you were presented with that enticed you to apply for this opportunity?
I  was told that we would be travelling  around the world going to an exotic luxury location for an experience of a lifetime. Before we left, I went shopping for a whole new wardrobe. Got my hair and nails done and brought all my makeup.
2. How shocked were you when you found out what the show was actually going to be about and what you were going to be doing?
At first I didn’t believe it. I agreed to stay and take part in the project, but I really had no idea what I was getting myself into. When everything you had planned in your mind goes completely the opposite way it’s very shocking.
3. How did you feel about The Project Guatemala once you realized what you were doing? Did you think it would be a good opportunity, or were you nervous?
Honestly, the first 2 weeks were the hardest for me. I was so mad that I put myself in this situation and at times I wanted to just give up and go home. Living and working with the rest of the participants, and learning more about why we were doing what we were doing while we were there is what really motivated me to stay because we were all going through this experience together.
4. How have the experiences on the show changed your perspective on things?
Spending time in Guatemala was a life changing experience. I’m much more aware of what is going on in the world and what poverty really means. I don’t think people really understand it until its staring you right in the face. It was hard to see the orphans and how they live on very little, just enough to survive. Being back at home my interests have changed. I don’t diet anymore; I don’t waste any food at all. I’m much more confident in myself and not afraid to not a have perfect body, or perfect hair. This experience made me grow up,.It was a major culture shock. Here in Canada we are so lucky , we take things for granted - spending too much time focusing and stressing on these things that in retrospect don’t even matter. We should all spend more time appreciating what we have, and most of all each other. Because out there somewhere is a hungry child without a family who would do anything to have what we have.
5. Do you think the show will help others be more appreciative of their lives – or do you think many will see this more as entertainment?
This show is so different from your typical reality show. Things do get intense, which you’ll have to tune in to see..But I do hope it will make people appreciate their lives. It’s the reason the show was made – to make a difference and make people aware that they can make a difference. They actually have created a way for people to donate back to Project Somos, the charity from the show, by donating via text, which I encourage everyone to do. They are an amazing organization. To donate $10 text PROJECT to 45678 and to donate $20 text SOMOS to 45678.

6. What did you love most about participating in The Project Guatemala?
I learned Spanish! And I loved getting to know the Guatemalan people. Even though there was a language barrier, they were sympathetic of our struggles and were welcoming to all of us. It was funny because we are from two different worlds, but we somehow found a way to communicate. They all have a great sense of humour.
7. Do you think you still would have applied for the show if you knew what it was going to be from the beginning?
Before I went to Guatemala I was very self-centred and had never done any volunteer work in my life. Bethany before this trip probably would have said no. But I am so glad I did.
8. Were there any moments on the show where your disappointed in yourself?
[Yes], of course. I was a very different person then. It is a very weird feeling watching yourself on television. I can hardly remember what I ate for breakfast never mind what I said months ago. It’s definitely eye opening seeing how I used to be, but I can’t let it stress me out. It’s a nice reminder of how the experience changed me, and how proud I am of who I am and where I am today.
 9. What about moments that made you feel good about yourself; or even proud or brave?
This entire experience made me feel good about myself. There were moments that turned the experience around for me, but viewers will have to tune in to see what happens.
10. What can viewers expect from the show?
There is no other show out there like The Project: Guatemala. Viewers can expect to be amazed, shocked and proud to be Canadian. Expect to laugh, cry and connect with each of us as you watch us go through this life changing experience. And I hope it prompts people to want to make a difference.

Make sure you tune into this show and watch Bethany's transformation! The GOG team will be watching weekly!

Staffing for the 101st Grey Cup

As the title of our blog suggests, we are hiring for one of the biggest events of the year - the Grey Cup! Last year was a big year for us - not only was it the 100th Grey Cup, it was also hosted in the home town of the Girls of Glam headquarters - Toronto, Ontario. However, we are also proud to say we have some amazing staff in Saskatchewan as well who we know will do a great job at taking their turn working this awesome event!

Take this as your 'casting call' to apply for available positions being offered, but also for a chance to get your foot in the door with GOG if you're not already on the roster. Girls of Glam bring in males, females, models, customer service representatives, applicants with specializations and certifications. There is literally a need for everyone on own roster and we place staff in various positions each day. Right now - we want to give YOU the chance to work for a well-known Canadian event - and of course to soak in the excitement of football.

What Can You Expect When You Work This Event:

Take it from some of the staff who worked last year - the energy you will be working with will be incredible. You will be interacting with a very excited crowd - and they want to interact with you! We had a staffer who met a couple who actually met at one of the Grey Cup's 40 years ago! She really loved interacting with people and listening the stories they had about past Grey Cups.

You will be representing one of our established clients as brand ambassadors. Passing out samples and swag, taking pictures and playing games, pumping up the crowds and grabbing their attention. It is the most exciting job you will ever have; you will wonder how you get paid to do it.

Working for Girls of Glam is a great way to get comfortable with yourself - and learn how to network. You will be doing a lot of networking!!

This year the Grey Cup is in Rider Nation in Saskatchewan. We need fun, reliable, and outgoing staff to represent some well-known brands in a professional and fun manner.

If you are interesting in working at the Grey Cup this year, contact us! Send us a resume, and 3 photos (professional is preferred). We look forward to adding you to our roster of some of the top promotional staff in North America!

Girls of Glam, UFC, and Rivelstoke Whiskey

The UFC attracts a huge demographic - from males to women of all sorts. We had the chance to team up with Revelstoke Whiskey and the UFC to promote this awesome whiskey to consumers in Toronto. We had a great team representing Revelstoke for Girls of Glam, and we thought you would love to hear about our experience with UFC...and some special guys our girls got to meet!

I spoke with Brandie and Keli C. of Girls of Glam who told me about their experiences working as a brand ambassadors for Revelstoke Whiskey in two different locations. Brandie was working it at Real Sports and Keli was hanging out in Maple Leaf Square at fan fest!

To get people to notice what she was doing, she wore some of the swag she was giving out to get people curious about what she was doing. She loved interacting people, and really loved the opportunity she had to meet one of the fighters.

Brandie was cocktailing and doing tastings of Revelstoke whiskey. Her goal was to get people aware of the brand, and try it so they could get to know the brand better. She was also spreading brand awareness while a UFC fighter was doing autographs for fans. She said it was a great opportunity for networking and to meet new people.

I loved that Keli took her experience with this promo as way to get used to interacting with people on a professional level, and also serving. The new experiences has been really great for her, and an excellent way to get her name out there.

Working an event with such a huge name like UFC has been great for Girls of Glam, but mostly for our girls who worked the event. Because UFC gets so much publicity, it really puts our staff out there and gives them a chance to network and interact with a huge crowd! We would love to give more girls and guys opportunities like this!

The Toronto Film Festival: Girls of Glam at the Ritz Carlton

The Toronto Film festival is a huge event that takes place in Toronto at the end of the summer. This is a big opportunity for Girls of Glam to give some of our best Brand Ambassador's the chance to represent Girls of Glam and some of our prestigious clients.

This year we had a tall order to fulfil which included representing one of our favourite clients Barefoot Wine and Bubbly at a Ritz Carleton event. We had Brittney R. represent Barefoot; who has worked with Barefoot at previous events, work at this amazing event for TIFF.

Brittney was working in a stunning suite with a beautiful view of Toronto. She was staged in the kitchen of the suite serving Moscato and Pinto Grigio Barefoot wine and bubbly to guests and celebrities. Brittney loves representing Barefoot because of the amazing causes they contribute to - and also the fact that it is a well-known and loved brand.

Brittney is a great ambassador, and she usually does not have any issues getting people to come and check out what she is doing. But when she is working a Barefoot event consumers are usually attracted  to the brand. She loved having the opportunity to mingle and serve such inspiring people and she gained a lot from this wonderful event.

It's great to have staff who still do such a great a professional job even when they are dazzled but the people and the event they are working with or for. What's important about working for popular event like TIFF is that you have staff who can be excited about the environment but still be able to maintain professionalism and understand that they are working. We loved having Brittney represent a really great brand - and also do such a great job at represent Girls of Glam at a beautiful event.

If you are looking for a BA to work at your next big event, contact us: glam.promotion@gmail.com

Canada's Bridal Show and Girls of Glam

Weddings are so exciting! Men looking dapper, women dressed in pretty dresses and clothing - and of course the blushing bride. We represented Hudson's Bay and the opportunity for brides to win their dream wedding and a dress from the famous Kleinfeld's which will be opening a location in Toronto.

Given the circumstances of the positive and gushing atmosphere at the Toronto Convention Centre for Canada's Bridal Show, our staff were naturally excited to act as bridal planners and use their smiling faces to entice brides-to-be to sign up for such an amazing contest. Not only did the brides have their eyes on the prize - they were also given VIP passes to meet famous bridal consultant Randy Fenoli of Say Yes to The Dress.

After speaking with a couple of the girls who worked the event, I found that they were really serious about playing the part of bridal consultant. Taking extra care to keep good posture and poise so that brides would trust them and feel welcomed to sign up. Our staff were also really excited about the idea of a Kleinfeld's opening in Toronto so it wasn't difficult for them to spread the word.

They were also excited to be in touch with such happy women, and to have the opportunity to chat with them about upcoming wedding plans. One of our staff mentioned it was like having girl-talk all day and hardly working. They were able to really make connection with the women that day, and give them the opportunity to possibly get the wedding of their dreams.

At Girls of Glam we really appreciate when our staff go the extra mile to make a connection with their brand's consumer. Rather than just being there for the sake of a job - they take their role seriously, and morph themselves into a different person that can actually related to what they are doing. This is really important for a staffing company. If you don't have staff who are able to adapt to various roles - then you have a serious problem. We are so thankful for our staff who take their positions seriously, and truly enjoy what they are doing.

That is exactly what we saw at Canada's Bridal Show - our staff getting excited and adapting to the incredibly positive atmosphere and connecting with the brides and bridal parties!

Girls of Glam at Toronto Beerfest 2013

Beerfest is a huge event in Toronto and is as simply described as its name...a festival of beer. If you haven't been to or heard of Beerfest before it's basically a field filled will various beer vendors offering samples of their brew to hopeful tasters. However, as the night progresses it turns into a massive party. Now, imagine working at this event, representing a brand, and maintaing absolute professionalism.

That's exactly what some of the Girls of Glam staff did as they represented brands like Bet365.net and Singha Beer.

The excitement at a festival like this can be overwhelming, but our staff like Brittany R. kept her cool and maintained her professionalism for the brand - Bet365.net as a dealer:

"I had a few rowdy and intoxicated guests at my table, I maintained my professionalism by using a good sense of humour and directing the focus of my conversations to the brand and game."

Given the circumstances and relevancy of the roles our staff were working compared to the festival, it wasn't difficult to attract consumers to what they were doing. But rather, they needed to maintain their professionalism and deal with a really intense crowd. We were lucky to have the staff we had work this event - they all enjoyed working in such an upbeat and exciting environment.  Mel G. said she felt like she was part of the fun event just working.

Mel G. made sure her team felt the same way she did by motivating them and maintaining a positive attitude herself.

Brittany really loved that the Bet365.net booth was always busy, "We were situated by the DJ booth which was perfect for creating a hangout vibe for our section at Beerfest. There were a lot of girls running around creating a place for people to go and activities for them while they enjoyed their beers, The poker tables were always crazy busy because they attracted big groups."

Girls of Glam have really amazing staff that are able to maintain professionalism and positivity through rowdy crowds and very intense environments. We were very impressed with the feedback we recieved from their work at Beerfest over the entire weekend!

Working With Celebrity Cruise

Girls of Glam have had the pleasure to be a brand ambassador for Celebrity Cruises. We are very successful with a our brand ambassador program - mostly because our staff who work these types of events are so good at their job.

We wanted to show you what it's like being a brand ambassador, and why our staff choose the jobs they work - so we spoke to one of our Girls Mel M. about her experience working promotions with Celebrity Cruises.

Initially, Mel decided that working for Celebrity Cruises would be a great fit because she works in the travel industry and she wanted to gain my knowledge and experience - and she knew this job would interest her. We really appreciate it when our staff choose a job that is of interest to them that will help them expand into their chosen career. This way, we know they will be really involved in their role. Part of Mel's responsibility as a brand ambassador for this client was not only to bring awareness to the company, but to also engage people and conduct a raffle for the chance to win a free cruise.

Mel was aware she needed to bring a lot of energy to the field when working this job, "We were expected to bring lots of energy and excitement to the Celebrity Cruises promotion and draw in a crowd." And that's exactly what Mel did. We find each of our staff have a strategy for getting the attention of the crowd. Mel's is very simple: She doesn't let them come to her - she goes to them, and lure them in with an incentive such as the celebrity signature drink to give people the full Celebrity Cruises treatment.

With a name like Celebrity Cruise it's hard not to be dazzled by the 'perks'. Mel loved that the golf tournament where she was representing Celebrity Cruises hosted celebrities and other amazing things like a high-energy vibe, and fun uniforms. i.e Mel really enjoyed representing this brand.

When a staff specifically goes out their way to choose a company or brand that they can really get involved with and truly enjoy working as a brand ambassador.

We appreciate staff like Mel who did a great job at representing a well known name - Celebrity Cruises.

United Way and Barefoot Wine and Bubbly: Connecting Wine and Social Good

If you have been following our blog lately you probably have noticed we have been doing a lot of events with Barefoot wine and Bubbly. What we love about working for Barefoot is their dedication to charities. We are used to doing LCBO samplings, but we really wanted to share a special sampling we did with Barefoot Wine and Bubbly because it was such a great concept.

Partnering up with United Way, Barefoot Wine and Bubbly donated $1 of every bottle sold to the United Way. Our Brand Ambassadors are used to pushing sales - but this time it was for a really important cause.

The Brand Ambassadors ensured the consumer knew about the brand and the different wines available - allowing them to try the product and get them aware of the wine if they did not already know. Once the consumer tried the brand, we then explained what Barefoot was doing to partner with a great charity.

Our brand ambassadors worked extra hard for the event by connecting with consumers and not only getting them aware of the brand, but also what the brand was doing in partnership with a not-for-profit. With every $1 of each bottle being given to the United Way, sales were the number one factor for our brand ambassadors to focus on.

We had a successful event at the LCBO, and were really excited to get consumers aware of a brand that does a lot of social good. Girls of Glam really love doing events that are involved with not-for-profit organizations. This was a really promotion for our GOG brand ambassadors, and we are looking forward to continue working with Barefoot Wine and Bubbly.

Girls of Glam Endorse Wild Vines Again for a Successful LBCO Wine Tasting

You read our blog post on our brand ambassadors who represented Wild Vines at Gay Pride in Toronto. Since it was so much fun working for such a fun brand - we continued with them to do wine samplings with the LCBO.

Girls of Glam have been doing alcohol samplings with the LCBO for quite a while now. What we love about this is that we are able to interact with consumers who are already on a mission to buy alcohol. We are situated in a high-traffic area and our goal is to sell the brand to the consumer walking in the door. We try to deter them from purchasing what they actually came there for, and get them to purchase our product.

This time with Wild Vines, it was a bit different. We were not only sampling the wine (This time in Windsor) but we also had a radio station partner up with Wild Vines as well to have an announcer live at the LCBO advertising the sampling. This meant our girls had extra volume and extra interest in the brand, and we really had to have our game faces on for this event.

Two of our ambassadors Ally and Claire really loved working this event. Ally especially chose to work this event because she really loved the brand - she thinks Wild Vines is the perfect girls night wine. Neither of the girls felt extra pressure with the radio station there - but rather felt it as an incentive to work extra hard and be really excited to be working with Wild Vines. They helped to drive sales and awareness of the brand by showcasing their knowledge and enthusiasm to attract consumings and get them interested in brand.

Girls of Glam really appreciate when our staff apply for positions they already feel a connection with. We were pleased with this event because the girls did a great job working with the brand and the radio station to promote Wild Vines and didn't show any stress or pressure from the added exposure. They kept smiles on their faces and drove sales - which was exactly what the brand was looking for.

We hope you were able to come to this sampling at one of the LCBO's involved in this really exciting event!

Girls of Glam are great at alcohol sampling! If you would look to book the GOG staff for a sampling event please email glam.promotion@gmail.com

Girls of Glam at Toronto's Gay Pride Event!

Girls of Glam go to so many events - big and small. We turn up at various events and functions across Canada and even the U.S. Last weekend it was the Gay Pride festival in Toronto and we absolutely were there with big smiles on our faces and LOTS of energy!

Representing Barefoot Wine and Bubbly - our staff worked the Barefoot booth, and also participated in the  parade. When we spoke to our staff about their experiences at this event we were blown away by the enthusiasm and positive experiences they had from this event. Some of our staff, including Assante T. Kimberly G., Staphanie B., and Brittany R. came back with such positive feedback we had to share their experiences with you!

Assante explained that their role was to hand out Barefoot swag, host mini games, inform people about Barefoot wine and bubbly, and of course participate in the parade. They all attacked the day with enthusiasm explaining that not once did they let a smile come off their face. Given the nature of the event it was important that they always displayed enthusiasm, engage with the crowd, and essentially be excited to be there.

Since props are a huge part of the festival, our staff were provided with a huge inflatable branded foot. They all agreed this really got the crowd excited, and they used that as a tool to keep people engaged with the brand. Brittany said "It's easier to promote something when you feel good about what you are doing." We love this statement! Our staff have the opportunity to choose the events they want to work for - which means if they are offered a job they can choose to turn it down if it's not something that suits their interest.

Each of our staff were really excited about this event and loved interacting with the people. They said it was easy to be positive because the crowd was so excited and had such high energy. They each prepped for the event by getting familiar with the brand - knowing its story and how the product tasted. Brittany explained that its much easier to speak to the brand when you know exactly what it is. We always encourage our staff to (responsibly) get to know the brand on a personal level. Whether it's doing research, or trying the product. This ensures a connection between an outsourced staff and a brand. The GOG team LOVED working this event, and especially loved promotion Barefoot.

A big thanks to our team for representing a brand so well at such a big event!

Girls of Glam Represent Harley Davidson at NXNE 2013

Last weekend Girls of Glam worked for Harley Davidson at NXNE 2013 (Music, film, comedy, art, and interactive). Our model Lindsay B. manned the Harley tent where she had 3 bikes for people to look at and take pictures with. She even assisted with a jump start where people could try out one of the bikes and go through the gears with a rep. This was a really exciting event for Girls of Glam.

We spoke to Lindsay B. after her job was completed so we could share her experience with all of you! We were also lucky enough to have her share some photos!

What was your role at this event?
My role was to interact with visitors, sign them up on an iPad to enter a contest, hand out swag, answer any general questions, and help them fill out a form to try the bike simulator.

What did you do to get people excited about Harley, and the product?
To get people enthused about what we were doping I would tell them how easy it is to enter. I would also ask if they own or would like to one day purchase a Harley  If so, they would often become more interested. I would also hand out swag as an incentive to sign up.

What do you think helped bring people to your booth?
The signs contributed to bringing people to our booth. They would see a picture of the contest prize and would want to enter. Also, the loud noises from the bikes attracted people to our booth to see what was going on. The big Harley Davidson tent also drew people to us. I noticed that when we didn't have it up on the second day, not as many people could find us or were coming to visit.

What was your favourite part about working this event?
My favourte part about working this event was meeting the different types of people who all seemed to share the same common interest in Harley Davidson. I also enjoyed working with the other team members as they were fun, energetic, and enjoyable to be around.

What did you do to prepare for this event?
To prepare for this event, each day I would make sure the iPads were charged and make sure I got a good nights sleep. I would try to keep my energy level up throughout the day as well!

If you would like to book Lindsay B. or any of our other experienced brand ambassador's contact Girls of Glam for more information: glam.promotion@gmail.com
